In Memory of My Father, Taylor Austin Pennock, DC

I remember telling a little bit about my mother
for Mother's Day.
For Father's Day I want to tell you a little bite
His name was Taylor Austin Pennock.
He was Pennsylvania Dutch according to his
family tree.

When he was a young man, he married Ethel May Evans.
And they raised a large family of eight children-2
died. But in spite of that they lived together
and were very happy.

I was the second to the youngest, so they did not
spoil me
Although they did spoil my sister Lo for she was
the youngest you know.
That's a start, but know let me see.
Oh yes!

He was father to us but to the rest
of his friends, and patients, he was
known as Doc.

He was a chiropractor, you see, one
of the very best.
And because of that fact he worked 7
days a week--not even Sunday could
be a day of rest.

His patients would even call
at the house night and day.
Sometimes he had to travel very far--
I missed him when he was away
As I said he was known as Doc and mom
was known as Mrs T.A

There a great many more things I
want to say and I know we will
all be a family
in heaven some day.
